ReShirt! Remaking old shirts new

Find out how to easily update the look of your shirts to refresh your wardrobe

Chop-chop! Sew-sew! And voila two new shirts and zero waste!

Using basic sewing skills, Kirsty Máté will show you how two tired shirts can become two new exciting shirts, simply by cutting them up, rearranging the pieces and sewing back together!

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for people (adults and over 13yo) with at least basic sewing skills (cutting out, measuring, pinning, tacking, sewing a seam) and who are confident using a sewing machine.

If you are a beginner and have completed one of our Slow Fashion Sewing Series, then this is perfect for you!

What do I bring?

All you need are two (preferably cotton or cotton blend) shirts of the same size and style in different colours and or fabric patterns. We recommend men's shirts for this workshop as we have found it much easier to find, either in your own wardrobe or in charity shops (usually because many men are creatures of habit when it comes to clothes, when you're on a good thing, why change?!).

If both shirts are in good condition you'll get two new good shirts to update your wardrobe. However, this method is also good if there is perhaps a stain on one of the shirts, or the collar is worn on the other - so two worn shirts become one good shirt.
