We are excited to offer spinners a workshop with Elizabeth Woods, a cotton spinning specialist from New South Wales. Elizabeth will show you how cotton is a versatile, locally-produced natural fibre that can be spun easily with a wheel. The workshop will cover the process from preparations, assessing fibre and sourcing spinning quality fibre, setting up your wheel for success, preparing fibre for spinning - preparing seeds, ginned lint and making punis, drafting fibre to spin basic singles, how intended purpose of yarn should guide the spinning process, plying singles for a balanced yarn and then how to finish your yarn.

Each participant will receive a Workshop fibre kit, Notes on spinning cotton and Tutor tips on spinning
